New York Tech Thanks Its Student Employees

April 25, 2022

The National Student Employment Association has declared that the second full week in April each year be set aside in honor of National Student Employment Week (NSEW) to recognize the value of student employees and student employment professionals in higher education across the country. The purpose of NSEW is threefold: to enhance awareness of student employment and its important role in higher education experience, to recognize students who perform outstanding work while attending college, and to thank employers who hire students and make the student employment program a success.

The theme of this year’s celebration at New York Tech was Royalty, as we crowned the vital cornerstones of our community for their excellence and regal performance throughout the year. Throughout the week, the Office of Student Employment facilitated a series of events.

NSEW kicked off in “royal” fashion with a Grab & Go Breakfast Banquet on the New York City and Long Island campuses. Additionally, all student employees and supervisors were invited to Coronation Luncheons on the New York campuses, where Denniesia Cameron Richards, assistant director for student employment, presented students and supervisors with New York Tech NSEW Awards.
