November 18, 2019

New York Institute of Technology’s Physician Assistant (PA) Studies program has received Accreditation-Continued status from ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.).

“This reaccreditation has been three years in the making,” said Zehra Ahmed, M.B.B.S., chair of the PA program. “The success of this accreditation process was due to a core team of faculty and staff that worked tirelessly to submit an application that demonstrates that we aspire to meet the mission and goals of our program as well as that of New York Tech. We are proud to uphold the reputation and legacy of the New York Tech Department of Physician Assistant Studies on behalf of our current students, 664 alumni, their respective employers, and other stakeholders in the community.”

The 98-credit PA program, comprising 158 master’s degree candidates, is part of NYIT School of Health Professions.
