Video: Randomly Asked Questions About the 500 Building Project

May 8, 2018

Maria R. Perbellini, M.Arch., dean of NYIT School of Architecture and Design and Sheldon Fields, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, dean of NYIT School of Health Professions, answer the most randomly asked questions about the 500 Building project.

As the basis of their senior thesis, senior students in the bachelor of architecture program were “hired” by students in the School of Health Professions to design a new 500 Building. The building, located on the Long Island campus, is where the majority of classes and labs for the School of Health Professions take place.

Over the course of a year, the architecture students have met with their “clients” in the School of Health Professions to discuss their needs and what they would like to see in a new building. After presenting design proposals at sessions throughout the year, the seniors will showcase their final projects at the School of Architecture and Design and School of Health Professions Final Review at Education Hall on the Long Island campus on May 14.
