Clean Water Matters: Challenges and Research Perspectives Workshop

April 18, 2014

------------

The interdisciplinary nature of the workshop allows for a broad-based perspective drawing from academia, research scientists, entities that focus on the advancement of science and technology, including national agencies, foundations and corporate partners. A series of 90-minute sessions that include platform presentations and roundtable discussions are planned, along a final wrap up session to explore the formation of a US-China Water Consortium for Research and Innovation. Each session leader will moderate the dialogue after short presentations on the topics outlined below.

NYIT's School of Engineering & Computing Sciences and Peking University's Center for Water Research, in association with Wuhan University's International School of Software, are leading in planning and executing the workshop. NYIT's School of Engineering and Computing Sciences is taking the lead on the technical programming side of the workshop, as well as the Water-Energy Nexus conference the day before. Together with the Institute for Sustainability and International Society for Water Solutions of AIChE, all partners are supporting the workshop's design and content, securing participants and government funding agencies' representation across the two nations.
