Join us to hear from NYIT alumnus Maciej E. Domaradzki, Ph.D., Vice President of Research & Development at Advanced Biotech, a leader in the multibillion-dollar natural flavor and fragrance industry. He will speak about his career trajectory and share information about his business and the potential career paths in this science-based industry.
Dr. Domaradzki graduated from NYIT in 2006 with a degree in chemistry. In 2008, he obtained a master's degree in organic chemistry from Queens College and subsequently earned a Ph.D. at CUNY Graduate Center in 2014. He spent a year as a post-doctoral fellow at Queens College working in the field of gold catalysis.
Since late 2015, he has been employed at New Jersey-based Advanced Biotech, a leader in raw materials for the flavor and fragrance industry. It specializes in natural aromatic chemicals, essential oils, pyrazines, thiazoles, and distillates. Recently, the company entered the field of biotechnology as a means of producing flavors through fermentation, an ancient technique that has recently become popular.
