FBI Simulation Training Exercise

NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine will host a medical refresher course for FBI tactical and medical personnel. Experts from NYITCOM will lend their expertise to train participants to respond to injuries associated with an active shooter scenario.

The first two days will be taught in the classroom, and the third day will simulate a "Post Active Shooter on Campus" scenario. This simulation will be filmed and include a response by local first responders and the FBI to treat the simulated injured and eliminate the simulated threat. Taking place in the Riland Building and on the NYITCOM quad, it will utilize high-fidelity mannequins and people to play the injured.
