National Student Employment Week 2022

National Student Employment Week (NSEW) is fast approaching!

Join us as we honor our student employees and recognize their contributions and those of their supervisors to making the student employment program at New York Tech a success. This year’s NSEW theme is “Royalty.” Join as we crown these vital cornerstones of our community for their continued excellence and regal performances throughout the year.

April 11: Majestic Monday

Grab & Go Breakfast Banquet
9 – 11:30 a.m.

  • Start your week off in royal fashion! Join us in our CSEE offices on our New York City and Long Island campuses for a free Grab & Go Breakfast Banquet, including bagels, muffins, and other breakfast items!
  • Location:
    • New York City campus – 26 W. 61st St., room 211
    • Long Island campus – Student Activity Center, room 216

April 12: Terrific Tuesday

Coronation Luncheon (New York City)
12:30 p.m.

  • This is your royal invitation to join us in New York City for our Royal Coronation, where the winners of our awards for Supervisor of the Year, Student Employee of the Year, and Graduate Assistant of the Year will be crowned. Food and refreshments will also be served to all guests in attendance.

April 13: Whimsical Wednesday

Supervisor-Driven Celebrations
All Day

  • We invite all our New York Tech supervisors to honor their student employees within their departments, whether it be providing a royal lunch, giving special recognition, or participating in a Community Engagement Day event, which can be found through GivePulse.
  • Location: All New York campuses

Community Engagement Day
All Day

  • Students, staff, faculty, and alumni are encouraged to:
    • Volunteer individually or as part of a group with area nonprofit groups (opportunities are remote as well as in-person).
    • Educate others about work and research that addresses social issues.
    • Promote community projects and fundraisers scheduled after April 13.
    • Register for a Community Engagement Day activity.

April 14: Throne Thursday

The Royal Raffle
Time TBD

  • After attending our royal events, check to see if you have won our Royal Raffle! To be eligible for the Royal Raffle you will have to attend and check in to as many of our royal events throughout the week. The winner of the Royal Raffle will be announced via email and on our social media pages!
