Celebrate the beginning of your academic career at New York Tech! This mandatory virtual convocation presentation showcases New York Tech’s exciting, engaging, inclusive, and transformative environment as well as our commitment to your academic and personal success.

Viewing Options

  • In-person watch party: Join us from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on our Long Island or New York City campus for an in-person watch party and an afternoon of events. Meet your peer success guides and orientation leaders, find your classes, and enjoy some ice cream while socializing with your new classmates. (Space is limited.)
    • Long Island: Harry Schure Hall, Room 130 (Anna Rubin, Room 308, as overflow)
    • New York City: 16 W. 61st St., 11th-floor auditorium (Room 624 as overflow)
  • Via Zoom: Watch the virtual convocation event via Zoom from 11 a.m. to noon (ET).

All new students in the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering and Computing Sciences, School of Architecture and Design, School of Health Professions, and School of Management are required to register by August 30 and to attend either via Zoom or in person.

Zoom and in-person watch party information will be emailed to registrants prior to the event.

In addition to registration, we also encourage students to submit their photo, which will be featured as part of a slideshow to kick off the event. Please submit your photos by August 16.
