Learn about the rules and regulations for applying for Optional Practical Training Extension for STEM Students (STEM OPT). STEM OPT gives eligible F-1 nonimmigrant students with STEM degrees the chance for a 24-month extension of their post-completion OPT. Reporting responsibilities will be reviewed.
