NYITCOM Students Featured in Hometown Newspapers

As seen in Huntington Now, The Monmouth Journal, Southern Maryland Chronicle, and others, 64 medical students held a teddy bear hospital at the Long Island Fall Festival in Huntington, N.Y. The initiative, which was a collaboration between two student organizations, aimed to make children more comfortable with the medical field, while also inspiring some to consider future healthcare careers. Student volunteers taught elementary and middle school students how to use stethoscopes and reflex hammers, as well as take vital signs on teddy bears and other stuffed animals.
