Zwibel: Gaming Can Benefit Children
Parents quoted Hallie Zwibel, D.O., director of the Center for Esports Medicine, in an article about the growing number of parents who support their children’s gaming interests. Zwibel notes that participating in esports can improve children’s and young people’s social skills.
“Gaming can provide children with opportunities to connect with peers through a shared interest. A socially anxious child or one who doesn’t enjoy traditional sports may find camaraderie and friendship in the more comfortable setting of a video game,” he said.
