Henry C. “Hank” Foley, Ph.D., president of New York Institute of Technology, announced that Joseph Posillico, Ed.D., C.P.A., has joined the university as vice president for enrollment management, effective May 1. Posillico has nearly 30 years of higher education experience in strategic enrollment management, student financial services, and recruitment and retention.

New York Institute of Technology Wins $600K from NSF to Help Students Enter Tech Careers

Faculty members at New York Institute of Technology’s NYIT College of Engineering and Computing Sciences have received a five-year National Science Foundation grant exceeding $600,000 to support students from low-income backgrounds to study and graduate from two tech-intensive majors. Known informally as FASTRAC, the program will help fill the national need for well-educated scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and technicians.

National Science Foundation Awards STEM Teacher Prep Grant to New York Institute of Technology

New York Institute of Technology has received a National Science Foundation Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program grant of $1.2 million to prepare high school math and science teachers to work in high-need school districts. The institution will work with four public high schools on Long Island and the New York Hall of Science to implement an innovative teacher training program.

New York Institute of Technology Unveils Major Public Sector Scholarship

New York Institute of Technology President Henry C. “Hank” Foley, Ph.D., today announced a new public sector scholarship to honor the commitment and dedication of police officers, firefighters, EMT personnel, and K-12 teachers throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The new scholarship provides children of these public servants up to 50 percent tuition discount on any of the university’s 50+ full-time undergraduate programs, beginning in the 2019 fall semester.
