Our 36-credit, AACSB-accredited, STEM-aligned, M.B.A. – Business Analytics concentration will prepare you to solve diverse business problems that require the application of contemporary business analytic techniques.

What You’ll Learn

Business analysts and data analysts/scientists are among the most sought-after positions in the U.S. job market. Our M.B.A. with Business Analytics concentration gives you the skills you’ll need to analyze and implement data-driven business processes, form business inferences and predictions from data, and make optimal and robust business decisions.

Our program offers training on statistical analysis, data visualization, database management, machine learning, and social network analytics applications in different business functional areas including marketing, finance, accounting, operations, supply chain, and human resources.

You’ll become familiar with business analytics tools such as Python programming, SQL, Tableau, using them with real-world business case studies from different business disciplines to determine which dataset is most useful and how it can be leveraged to solve business problems and increase productivity, efficiency, and revenue.

How You’ll Succeed

The M.B.A. – Business Analytics program seeks to produce graduates who fulfill organizational needs for Business Analytics, by embracing ever-increasing diverse and complex data analytics knowledge to improve organizational performance.

Upon graduation from the concentration, the successful student will be able to:

  • Collect relevant data for the business problems and analyze it using an appropriate tool(s).
  • Develop appropriate models using analytics algorithms/tools to solve the business problems and provide insights.
  • Compare the effectiveness of relevant analytics algorithms/tools to solve an organization’s business problem and communicate results.

Some credits/courses taken in this degree program can be applied to the Business Analytics, Advanced Certificate or the Marketing, Advanced Certificate.

International F-1 students who successfully complete this degree are eligible for an additional 24-month STEM OPT extension to work in the U.S. in an area directly related to their area of study immediately upon completing the customary 12-month post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT).
