Following all New York State and local counties’ regulations to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, NYIT de Seversky Mansion continues to formulate best practices to ensure our guests and our teams are safe for your visit. We will continue to survey day-to-day mandates and update our clients accordingly.

There is no higher priority at the NYIT de Seversky Mansion than the safety of our guests and employees. We are closely monitoring new developments regarding COVID-19 and actively seeking precautionary solutions. We are committed to doing everything we can to make the NYIT de Seversky mansion a worry-free and safe environment for anyone who visits our property. Therefore, we have decided to raise our usual standards of cleanliness and health safety even higher.

What We Are Doing Differently:

We have implemented several new policies and procedures, which follow recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are in constant communication with our employees to reinforce our sanitization safety procedures in both guest-facing and back-of-house areas. We are sanitizing high-traffic public areas at an increased frequency.

• Hand sanitizers are located throughout front-of-house and back-of-house locations. Sanitizers are refilled and checked regularly.
• Public touchpoints, such as handrails, door handles, and knobs are sanitized by our housekeeping department at least hourly during high-traffic times throughout the day.
• Our bars will be disinfected each hour to include bar tops, refrigerators, and bottles. There is no direct contact between the employee and any ready-to-eat foods.
• All surfaces and equipment in the kitchen and back of the house are sprayed down directly with a food-safe disinfectant solution throughout the shift.
• Stemware, flatware, and china, once cleaned and sanitized, will not come in direct contact with employees before being set.

All departments have implemented hand washing or sanitizing procedures to take place multiple times during the employee's shift.

• All employees are instructed each day on correct hand sanitizing procedures and also instructed to inform guests on locations of sanitizing stations.
• Individual employees have also been equipped with disinfectant wipes to be used.
• Employees are instructed to wash hands before and after every task performed.
• Proper procedures and CDC guidelines are posted in all back-of-house work areas.
• All employees are prohibited from reporting to work with a respiratory illness.
