Entrepreneurship & Technology Innovation Center
A Hub for Innovation
The Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC) has served as New York Tech’s hub for cultivating new businesses, products, and fresh ideas in technology, engineering, and applied sciences since 2015.
The ETIC’s mission is to consolidate and expand the college’s industry-academic partnerships, foster innovation, and promote collaborations among industry, the academic community, professional organizations, and government.
As a source of talent, entrepreneurship, and innovation, the ETIC accelerates the regional economy and ensures greater competitiveness for Long Island and the broader metropolitan region. It supports the region’s economic development by focusing on three critical areas: IT and cybersecurity, bioengineering and medical devices, and energy and green technologies. With 8,000 square feet of state-of-the-art labs and facilities, the ETIC is dedicated to supporting our partner companies and offering them access to funding through our robust investor networks, helping our students become transformative leaders in the field, and spurring the regional community to develop excitement about scientific advances.
Established in 2015, the Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC) at the New York Tech College of Engineering and Computing Sciences is a business accelerator that brings together industry, government, and academia to foster economic development across Long Island and the New York City metropolitan region.
The ETIC has been designated as a Certified Incubator by the Empire State Development Corp. to provide support for start-up businesses, including entrepreneurial and high-tech training, commercialization guidance, networking opportunities, and staff recruitment.
Supporting Companies to Succeed
The ETIC helps our partner companies demonstrate, test, incubate, and advance new ideas and technologies in a resource-rich university environment. We can help you attract funding through our robust investor networks and capitalize on the talent and expertise of New York Tech’s students and faculty in our state-of-the-art facilities.
Giving Students Hands-on Experience
New York Tech students who participate in ETIC projects gain practical, on-the-job experience and develop entrepreneurial skills and professional networks that help them launch careers after graduation. You’ll learn to apply the theoretical knowledge you gain in the classroom on real-world, open-ended design projects, with the guidance of industry experts and advisors.
