Why Minor in Chemistry at New York Tech?

A minor in chemistry at New York Tech can help you prepare for advanced STEM programs and STEM careers by demonstrating a mastery of the major concepts and principles of chemistry and how they relate to the larger world, including the impact of chemical discoveries on social, environmental, economic, and medically related issues. 

Work alongside faculty on scholarly research in biological chemistry, computational chemistry, chemical physics, and pharmaceutical sciences, as well as organic, analytical, physical, inorganic, or environmental chemistry. 

Students who will benefit from a minor in chemistry include those interested in careers in environmental protection and policy, public health and safety, quality control and regulation, pharmaceutical sales, or forensics and toxicology, or those interested in advanced degrees in medicine, dentistry, law, or the biological sciences.

Program Details

Learn how to add the Chemistry Minor.  

  • Fill out and sign the application form
  • Bring the signed copy to the chair of the Department of Biological and Chemical Sciences for review and signature. 
  • Bring the completed form to the Office of the Registrar, or scan and email to registrar@nyit.edu
