Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC)

Propose and prototype tech-based solutions to real problems in areas like cybersecurity and bioengineering at the Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC), and build your idea into a business.

Biological Sciences and Bioengineering Lab

In the Biological Sciences and Bioengineering Lab, students help solve important problems in the health sciences through cross-disciplinary research integrating engineering and biology.

Fabrication Labs

Give your designs physical form through advanced fabrication and modeling equipment in the Fabrication Lab, including 3-D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters, and Kuka KR Agilus industrial robots.

Nursing Simulation Labs

Hone your diagnostic and caregiving skills as a healthcare professional in the high-fidelity Nursing Simulation Lab.

Simulated Trading Floor

Learn the tools of a Wall Street professional on the Simulated Trading Floor. School of Management students also practice investing real money with a student-managed portfolio.

Activities of Daily Living Lab

Gain hands-on experience as an occupational therapy student in the Activities of Daily Living lab, which includes a simulated kitchen and bathroom along with a driving simulator.

The HIVE

Experiment, design, and create at The HIVE (Home for Innovation, Visualization, and Exploration), a collaborative space equipped with advanced motion capture and VR technology.

Research and Entrepreneurship

Participate in faculty-led research or work on a project of your own in areas ranging from AI to nanotechnology to Parkinson’s Disease and more. Explore applications of machine learning or develop a startup around a novel solution to a business or social problem. Whatever your passion, pursue it here.

Biology majors Taimoor Chaudhry and Abdur-Rehman Hussain came in second place for their poster presentation in the biochemistry, biophysics, and biotechnology division at the 56th annual Metropolitan Association of College and University Biologists Conference.
