Rapid Prototyping
3-D printing is an additive manufacturing process of making three-dimensional objects from digital files. Models are created by adding one layer at a time either by depositing melted plastic, nylon or UV curing liquid resin. The fabrication lab has three different printers capable of printing a range of parts from basic geometry for quick study models, joints and movable parts, and complex geometries for final models or molds for casting.
