Accelerated (4+1) Master’s Degree Options

The accelerated 4+1 master’s programs offered in the College of Arts and Sciences allow undergraduate students with a consistent record of academic excellence the opportunity to earn their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in just five years, saving both time and money.
Before applying for an accelerated program, please reach out to the appropriate department chair to confirm your eligibility. The chair also will work with you to plan your schedule for the accelerated master’s you wish to pursue.

New York Tech undergraduate students who enroll in the 4+1 program will be eligible for various scholarship opportunities.
Become a Teacher
Many options listed above are part of New York Tech’s 4+1 Program for middle and high school teaching certification, leading to an M.A.T. degree. Both undergraduate and graduate degrees are earned in five years, specializing in biology, chemistry, English, math, physics, or social studies.
