Launching spring 2025, New York Tech’s minor in artificial intelligence (AI) is designed for students who want to meet the increasing demand for professionals across industries who are well-versed in the latest technological trends and understand the societal impact of their work.

Why Minor in Artificial Intelligence?

The AI industry is growing exponentially, with applications in sectors from healthcare, business, and finance to education, manufacturing, and the creative arts. Companies across industries are leveraging AI to enhance their operations and decision-making and for predictive analytics, fraud detection, customer service, and more.

Open to all undergraduates at New York Tech, the Minor in Artificial Intelligence will help you gain versatile, interdisciplinary skills and hands-on experience to stand out in the job market. First, take an introductory course on AI and computer science, as well as a class on the ethical and societal impacts of AI. Then, customize your learning experience by selecting your remaining three courses from relevant offerings across academic schools and colleges at New York Tech.

Through coursework and practical projects, you’ll develop technical proficiency and learn to apply programming and AI techniques to solve real-world problems ethically and responsibly.

  • Complete the Application to Declare Undergraduate Minor form. 
  • Bring the signed copy to Frank Lee, Ph.D. (Long Island) or Yoshikazu Saito, Ph.D. (New York City) for their review and signature. 

Bring the completed form to the Office of the Registrar
