What You’ll Learn

After a core curriculum in humanities and research principles and practices, gain a solid foundation in biology, chemistry, and cell and molecular biology. Pre-Medical Studies

Not all pre-med students major in biology or chemistry. Even if you choose to major in fine arts or interdisciplinary studies at New York Tech, you can still incorporate the courses required to prepare you for medical school.

The Biotechnology, B.S. follows our general admission requirements. 

To apply, please submit the following: 

  • Completed/Online application 
  • $50 nonrefundable application fee 
  • Copies of transcripts for all prior high school- and college-level work 
  • Two letters of recommendation 
  • A brief essay on an assigned topic 

You may also submit standardized test scores, but they are not required for this degree.

New York Tech offers scholarships based on your academic achievements and potential. Most awards are renewable if you continue to meet eligibility requirements, making a significant difference in your total cost of attendance.

International F-1 students who successfully complete this degree program are eligible for an additional 24-month STEM OPT extension to work in the U.S. in an area directly related to their area of study immediately upon completing the customary 12-month post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT)
