The Long Island libraries also have innovation/maker hubs that house collaborative workspaces and a variety of equipment, including 3-D printers, Raspberry Pi kits, digital cameras, 360 and Go-Pro cameras, and virtual reality headsets.

The Chemistry, Ph.D., has specific admissions requirements, including:
- A strong academic background in chemistry or a related field
- Demonstrated participation in previous research projects, authorship on peer-reviewed publications, and/or work in relevant fields
- Strong letters of recommendation highlighting your research potential and academic excellence
- For students with a B.S., a minimum GPA of 3.2/4.0 from a regionally accredited university
- For students with an M.S., a minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0 from a regionally accredited university
- A minimum GRE score of 300 is required
- For international students, New York Tech’s requirement for an acceptable TOEFL IBT score is 79, or 6.5 on IELTS.

- International student requirements: English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS/PTE/Duolingo), I-20, and transcript evaluation
Students in our Chemistry, Ph.D. program receive full tuition remission and get an additional yearly stipend to cover other expenses. During your first two years, you will be responsible for teaching a single lab course each semester.
