Why Earn an M.F.A. at New York Tech?
The Digital Art & Design, M.F.A. – Fine Arts & Technology concentration helps you push the boundaries of your imagination by producing concept-driven, innovative works of art with both new technologies and traditional tools and mediums. Each of your classes explores and integrates cutting-edge technology, with an emphasis on its impact on the art experience. Your classroom projects incorporate the use of 3-D modeling software to create memorable characters and environments; motion capture to drive those characters and bring them to life; and experiential art through the use of VR/AR.
Upon graduation, you will be prepared at a professional level for research, creative work, and business practices and technology. You will be well-equipped to pursue a range of careers within the realm of galleries, museums, arts foundations, and college-level teaching.
International F-1 students who successfully complete this degree are eligible for an additional 24-month STEM OPT extension to work in the U.S. in an area directly related to their area of study immediately upon completing the customary 12-month post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT).
