The New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine invites you to a panel discussion about Long Island’s cancer epidemic, moderated by Arthur Klein, M.D., chaired by Dong Zhang, Ph.D., and featuring top researchers and experts from the New York Tech Center for Cancer Research.
Topics will include precision oncology for treating cancers with BRCA1/2 mutations and the application of artificial intelligence for cancer diagnosis.

Panelists
Filippo Filicori, M.D., is a surgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital of the Northwell System. He is also the lead physician for the AI strategies of Northwell and an advisor to some of the major device companies seeking to incorporate AI into their products (e.g., Intuitive /DaVinci robots and Medtronic’s).
James Grosvenor is the head of business development of a Japanese company, Anaut, particularly in the United States and Europe. Their AI driven technology, called Eureka, enables better anatomical identification of critical structures, like blood vessels, nerves, connective tissues. Anaut is planning to partner with prestigious institutions, such as Mayo Clinic, Mount Sinai, and MD Anderson Cancer Center, to incorporate Eureka into their clinical practice.
Johnny Kao, M.D., is a radiation oncologist, the chair of Radiation Oncology, and the director of the Cancer Institute at Good Samaritan University Hospital.
Bhoomi Mehrotra, M.D., is a medical oncologist, the chair of Catholic Health Cancer Services, and the director of the Cancer Institute at St. Francis Hospital.
Maria Plummer, M.D., is associate professor of Pathology at NYITCOM, a board-certified pathologist, and a member of the Center for Cancer Research.
Amerigo Rossi, Ph.D., is associate professor of health science at the New York Tech School of Health Professions and a member of the Center for Cancer Research. Rossi’s research focuses on the complementary therapies for cancer control and recovery.
Christina Trotta, D.O., is a medical oncologist at the Cancer Institute at St. Francis Hospital and an NYITCOM alumna.
Dong Zhang, Ph.D., is a professor of cancer biology at New York Tech College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Director of Center for Cancer Research. Zhang’s research focuses on precision oncology.
