LI Spectrum Sizzle Workshop

Electrical engineering students at a hands-on workshop

Come to the Long Island campus this summer, June 9 at 3 p.m. to June 12 at 2 p.m., for a unique learning opportunity sponsored by National Science Foundation. This workshop, led by College of Engineering and Computing Sciences faculty and invited experts, will explore a range of topics in the wide field of spectrum management and wireless technology, including:

  • Radio spectrum policy, proceedings, and rule-making.
  • Passive systems, spectrum analysis, and frequency allocations.
  • Communication systems, modulation, and coexistence.
  • Wireless engineering, including circuits and radar systems.

Breakout sessions will cover graduate school opportunities, current approaches to real-time spectrum sharing, and more. Participants who travel to the workshop from outside the New York City metropolitan area and are at least 50 miles away from the New York Tech Long Island campus are eligible for free accommodation and will receive reimbursements for their flights or rentals on a first-come-first-serve basis.
