Bloomberg Certification
Bloomberg Certification, also known as Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC), is an e-learning course that provides an introduction to the context of financial markets and practices using Bloomberg terminals.
The program allows students to demonstrate they have the ability to use Bloomberg terminals to download financial information and analyze companies. Students who can demonstrate they have completed the BMC modules are ahead of the game when applying for entry-level financial services positions.
It takes around eight hours to complete the required modules (i.e., Economics, Currencies, Fixed Income, Equities) and you will earn the certification at the completion of the course.
To enroll in the BMC, please navigate to portal.bloombergforeducation.com/courses and sign up using your New York Tech email address. The course is self-paced and you have one year to complete the BMC and earn the certification.
Bloomberg terminals at New York Tech are located on the New York City campus at 26 W. 61st St., room 503, and on the Long Island campus in Harry Schure Hall, 2nd-floor Academic Learning Center. The Center for Risk Management, under the leadership of Joshua E. Bienstock, L.L.M., J.D., associate professor of management, oversees the use of these Bloomberg terminals.
