Cell Culture Core Facility
The Cell Culture Core assists medical school researchers in a wide range of studies ranging from the genetic variations present in human diseases. Most research projects are supported by NIH awards.
Dr. Yuan Huang oversees the cell culture core. She has over 20 years of extensive hands-on experience with the culture of adult, neonatal primary cells, and cell lines derived from mouse, rat, and human, including iPSCs, neuronal cells, cardiac myocytes, Schwann cells, Schwannoma cells, H9C2 cells and HEK 293 cells, to name a few. The core is accessible to students participating in related faculty-led research projects.
