Paleontological Specimen Preparation Core Facility

Examine fossils and other prehistoric finds in our Paleontological Specimen Preparation Core Facility. Work with the same tools and techniques that top scientists use at major museums and other research institutes. Student access is limited to students participating in related faculty-led research projects.

Our facility features:

  • Microscribe stations powered by an ultra-quiet, Hydrovane HV02 air compressors.
  • A fume hood for consolidating fragile and broken specimens.
  • A color 3-D printer to create virtual models of anatomical specimens.
