OneCard
Your New York Tech OneCard is the easiest way to pay for meals on campus. Just swipe your card at the checkout area—costs will be instantly deducted from your account. OneCard funds can be added any time via credit card. OneCard is available for students as well as New York Tech employees. It’s the “one card” you need.
“Commuter Plus” Non-Residential Student Meal Plan
This plan is designed for non-residential students who plan to dine in our retail locations on campus such as Riland Café on the Long Island campus or Metro Café on the New York City campus.
- Salten Hall: Start your day at Salten with a variety of breakfast sandwiches and a Starbucks coffee. Lunch offers an assortment of options to satisfy your cravings. The hot food slide unit is complete with campus favorites; burgers, chicken tenders, fries, bite size snacks and Grab n’ Go options for the on-the-go student. Kosher and vegan options are available.
- Riland Café: Located on the second floor of the NYITCOM Riland Building, the café opens early offering breakfast sandwiches & farm-to-table omelets made your way! Hot lunch buffet provides a little something for everyone, including hot entrees, grilled proteins, seafood, vegetarian options. The salad bar offers farm fresh vegetables, greens and toppings to create your own hand-crafted salad. Grab n’ Go artisan crafted sandwiches and paninis are available. Riland is the home to the personal size pizza, made to order. Kosher and vegan selections can be found at this location.
- Education Hall: Open two days a week serving New York Tech’s own hot brick oven pizzas from traditional cheese to specialty style slices. Grab n’ Go crafted sandwiches, paninis and salads, as well as hot and cold beverages with sweet and salty snacks are available.
- Student Activity Center: A Grab n’ Go location that offers sandwiches, paninis, and salads.
- 1849 Broadway: Metro Café offers donuts, muffins, other sweet treats and snacks, and hot and cold beverages. Grab n’ Go sandwiches, meals, and salads are available.
Terms and Conditions:
- In order to enroll, non-residential New York Tech students must add a minimum deposit of $50 to their “Commuter Plus” dining services plan.
- The term of this Meal Plan Agreement is from September through May, with the exact dates varying each academic year (the “Term”).
- During the Term, the non-residential student will be eligible to save 8.625% sales tax on purchases made at the Long Island campus dining service retail locations.
- Any funds that are returned as unpaid for insufficient funds will result in the reversal of those funds from the declining balance.
- All meal plan balances expire at the end of the term in May, and funds do not carry over from one year to the next.
- In the event that a student is dismissed or withdraws from New York Tech, the funds are forfeited and are non-refundable.
