The College of Osteopathic Medicine, in cooperation with the School of Health Professions and School of Management, developed a unique set of programs that allow our medical students the opportunity to obtain two degrees within the structured four-year medical curriculum.

To be eligible for admission to NYITCOM, you must:
Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution (exceptions for formal articulation agreements)
Complete prerequisite courses in English, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics
Have taken the MCAT (scores from January 2021 and later)
Accept NYITCOM technical standards for acceptance and matriculation
To be eligible to transfer, a student must have successfully completed the first two years of an osteopathic medical school curriculum accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) and be in good academic standing.
The College of Osteopathic Medicine is institutionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program receives its program accreditation from the American Osteopathic Association Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA).
